Scott Henderson wins £920 top prize at Torrance Park pro-am

Scott Henderson scored his first win of the season in today's (Thursday) £4,900 Torrance Park Golf Club, Motherwell pro-am.

It was Kings Links Golf Centre tour pro's 17th competition of the season and he collected the £920 first prize with a six-under-par 66 which included birdie 4s at four par-5 holes, the first, fifth, sixth and 13th, as well birdies at the par-4 ninth and par-3 16th in halves of 34 and 32.
Sam Binning  (Mearns Castle) was seven under par with four holes to play but bogeyed the 15th and 16th to drop back into second place behind Henderson, which earned him £700.
The team event was won by Canmore pro Fraser Rummins and the Archie Hall Team 2 of amateurs, Jimmy Erwin (handicap 13), John Murray (7) and Archie Hall (16). They had a net best ball score of 17-under-par 55, pipping the team led by Neil Fenwick (Dunbar), who also totalled 55, on a card countback.
The pros associated with the top five teams earned £10 each: 
55 F Rummins, N Fenwick. 57 S Wilson, J Dick, S Binning.
