Elgin pro McAllan scores first North Scottish Alliance win

Elgin Golf Club professional Michael McAllan scored his first win at a North Scottish Golfers' Alliance fixture with a one-under 70 in windy conditions at Fortrose and Rosemarkie Golf Club on Saturday.

McAllan headed a field of 79 competitors with birdies at the third, eighth, 14th and 15th, offset by three bogeys: the first, fourth and 11th.

Four players: Bruce Thomson (Inverness), Graham Murray (Moray), Kyle Godsman (Moray) and Gordon Allan (Nairn Dunbar) finished joint second, a shot behind the winner. 

Godsman had five birdies but also a double bogey at the eighth and bogeys at the ninth, 10th and 12th.

Murray birdied the sixth and 15th but cancelled out these gains with bogteys at the ninth and 18th.
Thomson birdied the fourth and 14th. He dropped shots at the third and 15th.#
Allan birdied the third, sixth, 14th and 15th but had a triple bogey at the ninth and a bogey at the 18th.
