Gregor Tait wins US college event at Palm City, Florida with nine-under total

Gregor Tait from Martlesham Heath near Ipswich and a student at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, won the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate 54-hole tournament at Palm City Florida.

Over a par-72 course of 6,802yd, Gregor, pictured, won by two strokes with a nine-under-par total of 207 (67-69-71).
Farther down a field of 69 players were Seton Hall team-mates Alex McAuley, a sophomore from Douglas, Isle of Man, and Scot Alex Chalk, a sophomore from Castle Douglas.
McAuley had rounds of 77, 75 and 73 for a 225 total and a T42 finish.
Chalk scored 77, 76 and 75 for 228 and a T52 placing.
Seton Hall (853) finished runners-up to West Virginia (851) in the team event with UNCG (North Carolina-Greensboro) in a field of 10 teams
