European women's individual amateur championship

Shannon McWilliam leads Scots in Switzerland

Aboyne teenager Shannon McWilliam took over as the leading Scot in the European women's individual amateur championship after Clara Young (North Berwick) had a catastrophic second-round 89 at Lausanne Golf Club and dropped to a share of 130th place in a field of 143.
Shannon has scored 73-72 for one-over-par 145 and is eight shots behind the joint leaders, Switzerland's Albane Valenzuela (70-67)and Zhen Bonton (Netherlands) (68-69).
Anglo-Scot Gemma Batty (Moffat) is T69 after rounds of 76 and 73.
Hannah McCook (Grantown on Spey) is on 150 (74-76), one ahead of Heather Munro (Monifieth) (79-72). Hannah is T87 and Heather T96.

+There will be a but to the leading 60 players and ties after Friday's third round.
