Craibstone Clubgolf Juniors' trip to St Andrews

NEWS RELEASE FROM LEE VANNET
The Craibstone Clubgolf Juniors, 28 in total along with PGA professional Lee Vannet, coaching staff and parents recently travelled to St.Andrews for the 2nd annual golf trip.
Seven teams of four played nine holes on the Balgove course in a Texas Scramble format.
The teams were well balanced with ages ranging from eight years old to 14.
The winning team of Nathan Bloice, Ryan Murray, Rio Greig and Rebeca Sinclair scored 31 to win by a shot. Nathan won the long drive with a massive hit of 280 yards.
The standard of play was fabulous, with only three shots separating all the teams.
Dougal Finlay won the nearest the pin on the ninth hole, which was straight in to the wind, with a magnificent rescue club shot to 6 feet and followed it up by holing it for a birdie 2.
Our youngest team member Lucy Moir, who has only been playing for five weeks, won the Best Attitude/Etiquette prize.
Massive thank you to Marshall-Leisure for the many fund-raising activities that took place at Craibstone Golf Club to make this trip possible.
We are now planning our trip back to St Andrews next year, and are looking to increase our Clubgolf Junior membership.
