James Byrne finishes third in Thailand despite triple and double bogey in final round

Banchory's James Byrne finished joint third - despite a double bogey at the second and a triple bogey at the 14th in a final round of 70 - in the MENA Tour's Mountain Creek Open at Korat, Thailand today.
The Scot earned £1,622 for a total of six-under 210 which included earlier rounds of 72 and 68.
Byrne had seven birdies and a eagle 3 at the 18th in his last round.
He finished 11 shots behind the winner by seven strokes, Lionel Weber (France) with scores of 66, 67 and 66.
Luke Joy (England) finished second on 206.
