Greg Dalziel Wins Spring Meeting at
Shotts
Greg Dalziel
of Airdrie won the Lanarkshire Spring Meeting today at Shotts Golf Club. In a difficult
wind he shot a four-over-par 74, which included eagle-birdie at eight and nine, to head a field of 40 competitors.
In second place on a better inward half was Cameron Stewart (Drumpellier) and in third place, also on 77, was boy international Lewis Irvine (Kirkhill).
Nicholas Fagan (Bothwell
Castle) won the handicap prize with a nett 68, playing off 9.
Special prizes were
awarded to Under-14 players: Rudy Brown (Kirkhill), Lewis Russell (Drumpellier),
Ross Paterson (Bothwell Castle) and Callum Waugh (Kirkhill). Entries 40
