Iten scores first pro win after play-off in Morocco

Switzerland's Marco Iten scored his first win as a professional when he beat Germany's Max Laier at the first hole of a sudden death play-off in the Pro Golf Tour's Madaef Open at Royal El Jadida Golf Club, Morocco.
They had tied on four-over-par aggregates of 220 in tough scoring conditions. Iten shot 72, 75 and 73, Laier 70, 77 and 73.
Peterhead's Philip McLean (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) finished tied 14th on 226 with rounds of 75, 77 and 75.
The only other Scot to survive the cut, Alexander Culverwell (Dunbar) finished joint 32nd with scores of 81, 72 and 76 for 229.
