GEORGE BARRIE CANNOT BE CAUGHT

AT TOP OF SENIORS' MERIT TABLE

After another good finish at Drumoig, George Barrie (Callander) has won the 2017 Scottish Senior Golfing Society's Order of Merit with one event still to play. His lead is too big for him to be headed.
It is still close for the other top places with 10 points covering the next four players, Neil McGarva (Kilmalcolm) moves into second place with a top five finish at Drumoig.
Colin Halcrow (Windyhill) and Philip Hendrix (Alloa) drop down to third and fourth places, five points adrift of McGarva. With 5 of the seven events counting, Colin Mavor (Elgin) can move up with a good finish at Prestwick St Cuthbert.
