Ryan Campbell fifth as Miguel Angel Martin wins by 12 shots

Lily (15) finishes third in Spanish men's pro

event at Hacienda Riquelme

Falkirk tour pro Ryan Campbell finished fifth in a field of 37 at the Spanish Evolve Tour's 54-hole tournament at Hacienda Riquelme, Murcia.
Campbell had rounds of 72, 71 and 75 for two-over-par 218. He bogeyed the third, fifth, 15th and 16th in his lacklustre final round before he gained his solitary birdie of the day, at the 18th in halves of 38 and 37.
Spaniard Miguel Angel Martin outclassed the field to win by 12 strokes with a 13-under-par total of 203 (67-68-68).
Compatriot David Borda (215) was second and there was a splendid performance by 15-year-old English girl amateur, Lily May Humphreys who finished tyhird with scores of 7 1, 7 3 and 72 for level par 216.
But for a triple bogey 8 at the par-5 14th in her first round she would have finished second. Lily, a member of the Channels Golf Club, Chelmsford, birdied the third, eighth, ninth and 14th, cancelling out these gains with bogeys at the second, sixth, 12th and 15th in halves of 35-32.
She had 13 birdies over the 54 holes.
