Conor O'Neil's top 10 finish on Algarve Pro Tour with two-under-par total

Conor O'Neil, one of four Scots in the field, finished joint eighth  in the first Algarve Pro Tour event of the year, the Mountain Classic, at Quinta do Lago's Laranjal course today.
Conor had rounds of 72 and 70 for a two-under-par total of 142 - four shots behind the joint winners, Portugal's Ricardo Gouveia (70-68) and Joao Ramos (69-69).
O'Neil, in his second round, birdied the fourth, sixth, ninth, 13th and 18th. He also had a double bogey 5 at the short seventh and a bogey at the opening hole.
He earned 475 euros for his top 10 finish
Fellow Scots Jay Taylor (82-74 for 156), amateur Hamish Stubbs (83-77 for 160) and Benjamin Henderson (86-85 for 171) finished down the field.
