Aboyne's Daniel Thompsett's bid to reach next week's Asian Tour Final Qualifying School looks doomed to failure.
After rounds of 73, 69 and 74 for a 54-hole tally of level par 216, he is tied for 68th place with one round to go at the Section B eliminator at Suvarnabhumi Gold and Country Club, Bangkok, Thailand.
Only the leading 25 and ties after 72 holes will advance to the Final Q School.
Thompsett bogeyed the fifth and sixth before settling to birdie the long seventh and par-4 14th but he finished poorly with bogeys at the short 15th and 17th.
The prospects are equally bleak for the Dubai-based Scottish amateur international Daniel Hendry at the Windsor Park Golf Club Section B competition. He is in joint 55th position on level par 216 after rounds of 74, 69 and 73 and needs to reach the top 25 and ties to qualify for the Final Q School.
