Savage leading Scot in San Lorenzo

 Classic with a 73

Cawder's Jamie Savage was the bst placed Scot in a share of ninth place after the first round of the 36-hole Algave Pro Tour event, the San Lorenzo Classic today.
Savage shot a one-over-par 73 which included double bogeys at the par-5 8th and par-4 11th. He also had birdies at the first, 10th, 15th and 16th in halves of 37 and 36.
Jack McDonald from Ayrshire also had a double bogey 7 at the 18th and finished the round in joint 16th place with a 75.
James Steven had a 76 for a share of 28th place while Alan Welsh had a 77 for joint 33rd place.
Englishman David Dixon leads by two shots with a four-under 68.
