Hamburg hosts Porsche European Open next July

The Porsche European Open will have a new home when the European Tour returns to Germany for the tournament’s 35th edition, with Green Eagle Golf Courses near Hamburg announced today as the new tournament venue next summer.

The event will be played on the North Course, one of the longest in Europe, with some of the world’s best golfers competing for €2 million in prize money from July 26-30, as Hamburg hosts a prestigious European Tour event for the first time in a decade. Tournament Director Dominik Senn, CEO of 4sports and Entertainment AG, said:
“Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and also lies close to Scandinavia, and we hope fans in Denmark and Sweden will be drawn to the nearby competition,” said Senn.
