SENIOR CIRCUIT NEWS RELEASE
Last year Paul Broadhurst won his first European Senior Tour event directly after playing our £50,000 Aberdeen Masters. This year he used it as a spring board to win his first major championship, The Senior Open. 
 Whilst Paul was winning at Carnoustie, ex Ryder Cupper Peter Baker was tying with the USA's Skip Taylor for the Smokie Seniors at the classic links of Arbroath. 

Tim Spence, winner of the Aberdeen Senior Masters at Meldrum House continues to lead the Explanar Order of Merit

The Senior Circuit is open to professionals and amateurs aged over 48 years. It is not connected in any way with the European Senior Tour (for professionals aged 50 and over).

Format

5th and 6th:     36 Hole Better Ball enter with or without a partner.   3/4 handicaps no slope.
8th, 9th and 10th : 54 hole individaul stroke-play. Full handicap no slope.

Practice Round

4th December. (7th December for those playing Individual only)

Training

Desert Springs has good facilities. Free warm up balls on tournament days.

Eligibility

Pros over 48 year of age. Female pros any age. Amateurs over 48 years of age, max hcp 12.

Prizes

A minimum of 80% of all entry fees will be paid out. 40% of the field will be paid. Amateur max €700 amazon voucher. Over 60s category in Individual
