Mark Hillson wins Ayr Belleisle pro-am
with a five-under-par 66

Mark Hillson (Kilconquhar Castle) won today's Parkdean Resrts pro-am at Ayr Belleisle Golf Club with a five-under-par round of 66 which earned him the £1,192 top prize
He had birdies at the long second, ninth, short 10th, 11th, long 15th and long 18th in halves of 34 (two under) and 32 (three under). His only bogey came at the short 14th.
Runner-up was Craig Gordon (Edinburgh Golf Centre) with a 67 (31-36). Gordon birdied five of the first six holes but was one over par for the remainder. He earned £953.
Greig Hutcheon (PLGC Inchmarlo) and Paul O'Hara (Clydeway Golf) tied for third place with 69s and earned £625 each.
David-Ross Nicol (Dundonald Links) led the Gilmour Hamilton team of amateurs: Neil Hamilton (handicap 3), Billy Wilson (11) and Dick Robison (15) victory in the pro-am team event with a net score of 18-under-par 124
