Ireland's Robin Dawson wins world students' title,

Gemma Batthy T5 in women's event

The 16th FISU World University Golf Championship was hosted in Brive-la-Gaillarde, France.  Student-golfers representing 23 nations were present.
The French men’s team succeeded in keeping the gold medal in the host country. The French student-golfers shared the medal podium with Team Ireland which got silver and Team Chinese Taipei who won the bronze.
In the women’s team competition, Team Czech won the gold leaving the silver to Team Chinese Taipei and the bronze to Team USA.
The girls of Team Czech also dominated the Individual Women’s competition as they took over the whole podium with Karolina Vlckova collecting the gold, Marie Lunackova the silver and Katerina Vlasinova the bronze. 

Scotland's Gemma Batty finished tied 5th with an 11 over par total and Chloe Goadby from St Andrews finished 14th with a +18 aggregate.
In the Men’s Individual competition, Robin Dawson (IRL) mounted the highest podium winning the gold with Xuewem Luo (CHN) getting the silver and Yu-Chen Yeh (TPE) settling for the bronze.

Dawson finished with a three over par aggregate.
Scot Chris Maclean finished tied fourth with a nine over par total.
Mike Howard finished 23rd with a +23 aggregate
