Seb Galeppini: Highlands and Islands University

graduate who's looking for big-time break

Colin Farquharson writes: Remember the name Sebastiano Galeppini. He has recently completed a degree course in Golf Management at the University of Highlands and Islands at Dornoch. He has a CV that takes a lot of beating.   I meet him regularly during the golf season when I am the Ladies Golf Union website story writer and photographer. Seb has become the right-hand man of Susan Simpson, the LGU Head of Golf Operations.
Now he needs a big break to move further up the ladder of golf management.  The sky's the limit for a young man with his qualifications. He even refereed a match at last week's British women's open amateur championship at Dundonald Links.
Scottishgolfview.com is read by well over a million viewers annually. Someone out there could want Seb for a golf post that will being the best out of him.

By SEBASTIANO GALEPPINI
I have been working for the last three summers with the Ladies Golf Union in the United Kingdom and Ireland and it has been a great experience. I have had the opportunity to be involved in the event planning and delivering of national and international championships, including the Ricoh Women’s British Open, the 2016 Curtis Cup at Dun Laoghaire and the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.
I have currently finished my last year of a degree in Golf Management at the University of Highlands and Islands and I am intending to develop my career in the event management and sport management. I am looking for long term internship and getting even more  experience which would be an invaluable step in my career.
I am a responsible, sociable, hard-working individual with experience of working in golf clubs with a high customer care expectation, as well as experience of event management in golf tournaments with the LGU and in the local bars of my city.
Moreover, I spent few summers coaching golf at the summer camp in my local golf club.  I have an understanding of issues such as planning action, tournament operation as well as how to communicate with, motivate and support colleagues and customers. I also have a good knowledge of the rules of golf and I passed the R and A Level 3 rules exam with 88%.
During my degree course I have learned about various aspects of the business environment including marketing, finance management, operational areas, customer-centred business, event-planning, contemporary issues, human resource and golf tourism.
Furthermore, I have been the captain of the University golf club and it has been giving me experience about social event, fund-raising, club competition and team management. I was also part of the finalist team for the 2016 British University Championship. I was the winner of the Best Contribution to Clubs and Societies award in 2016 by the University Student Association.
I have always enjoyed travelling and learning everything I did not know, especially from different cultural backgrounds and I have learned to adapt to different situations.
Below is my CV.
