North-east challenge eliminated in Scottish U18 boys quarter-finals

                        Lawrie and Leith KO'd in round of last eight at Murcar Links
Michael Lawrie, beaten in quarter-finals for second year in a row. His conqueror, on the 18th green this morning, John Paterson, lost to the eventual champion ,Will Porter, in the round before the quarter-finals at Dunbar last year.

Irvine versus McIntosh in 36-hole final at Murcar Links on Saturday

Lewis Irvine (Kirkhill) will meet Eric McIntosh (Bruntsfield Links) in Saturday's 36-hole final of the 2016 Scottish Under-18 boys' championship at Murcar Links (first round tees off at 8.30am)
Irvine beat John Paterson (St Andrews New), conqueror of Michael Lawrie (Deeside) in the quarter-finals, by two holes in the afternoon semi-finals.
McIntosh beat Dylan Burt (Bellshill), winner of the Cadzow Cup men's open at Hamilton last summer,  by 2 and 1 in the semi-finals.

QUARTER-FINAL RESULTS
 John Paterson (St Andrews New) bt Michael Lawrie (Deeside) 1 hole. 
Lewis Irvine (Kirkhill) bt Craig Leith (Royal Aberdeen) 3 and 2.

Eric McIntosh (Bruntsfield Links) bt Andrew Moir (Elgin) 4 and 3. 
Dylan Burt (Bellshill) bt Cameron Gallagher (Longniddry) 6 and 5.
