 Duncan Stewart only one shot behind Madrid 

 Challenge leader

Grantown-on-Spey's Duncan Stewart has taken over the role of leading Scot after three rounds of the Madrid Challenge at Real Club La Herreria in the Spanish capital city.
Stewart is tied for second with five players on four-under-par 206. His rounds have been 69, 66 and 71. He varied from par at only three holes in his Saturday round - a birdie at the first hole and bogeys at the seventh and ninth to be one stroke behind the Spanish leader, Pep Angles, who has had scores of 66, 72 and 67 for five-under 205.
David Law, leading Scot at halfway, dropped back to tied seventh on 207 - ocnly two shots off the pace. The Aberdonian has had scores of 68, 66 and 73. His third-round included a double bogey 5 at the shirt third and further bogeys at the 17th and 18th.
Law's only birdie came at the short 13th.
Peter Whiteford from Kirkcaldy, the only other Scot to beat the cut, is tied 16th on 210 after scores of 70, 67 and 73.
