Peter Smith hanging on in there in NZ Open

Peter Smith, 56 years old from Udny Station, Aberdeenshire, is in T10 position at halfway stage of New Zealand Open at Queenstown.
Over two courses, one a par 72, the other a par 71, Smith, a past British PGA seniors champion and former NZ club pros championship title holder, has had rounds of 70 and 69 for 139 - only four behind the three players sharing the lead.
Peter, who has lived on and off in New Zealand for many years, is the oldest player in the field.
