Forrest and McDonald win twice on opening day of Bonallack Trophy

Scots Grant Forrest and Jack McDonald won twice as a partnership to help Europe take a 7-2 lead with one tie to finish on the opening day of the Bonallack Trophy match againt Asia-Pacific at Vidago Palace in northern Portugal today.
Bad light stopped play with one four-ball match still to finish. The state of the match was all square when they players were called in.
They will finish the tie, starting at 8am on Thursday morning.
Forres and McDonald won one hole in their morning foursomes tie against Brett Coletta and Zach Murray.
The Scots repeated the narrow winning margin in the afternoon four-ball match against Sung Ho Yun and Takumi Kanaya.
Europe took the foursomes 4-1 and lead 3-1 in the four-balls
