Fenwick's fighting finish for a share of fifth 

place in Morocco

Tartan Tour campaigner Neil Fenwick (Dunbar) had five birdies over the span of 12 holes for a par 72 and a share of fifth place at the end of the first round of  the MENA Tour 54-hole event, the Royal Golf El Jadida at El Jadida, Morocco today.
Fenwick started badly with bogeys at th second, third and fifth, then got on track with five birdies from seventh to the last.
Also on the 72 mark is Rotherham's David Booth who won the Scottish youth championship while he was a student at Stirling University.
Duncan Stewart (Turnhouse) covered his last nine holes in two under par to salvage a 73 (39-34) for a share of 10th place.
Former Scottish U18 boys match-play champion Paul Doherty had four birdies but more than cancelled them out with six bogeys for a 74 and joint 21st place.
Austrian Florian Praegant shot a four-under-par, bogey-free 68 to lead by two shots from England's Andrew Marshall.
