Jim Furyk out of action until after Masters

FROM ESPN.COM
Jim Furyk announced today that he needs surgery on his left wrist and will miss three more months of golf.
Furyk, 45, hasn't made a start on the US PGA Tour this season.
"While I am disappointed that the wrist has not yet healed sufficiently for me to return to play, I am confident that the surgery at this point is the best course of action, and will get me back in the shortest possible time," Furyk said in a statement released through The Legacy Agency.
"This has been frustrating for me to this point, but I am focusing on an aggressive rehabilitation program and having a strong year once I am sufficiently healed."
With the surgery, Furyk, who is ranked ninth in the world, will miss the Masters in April. It will be only the second Masters he has missed since 1996.
Furyk, who has 17 wins on the US PGA Tour, hasn't played since he was forced to withdraw from the BMW Championship in September.
