Kenny Hutton's steady start to Senior Tour Q 
School with par 71 for T15

Downfield's Kenny Hutton, originally from Muir of Ord, made a steady start to the European Senior Tour Qualifying School Final Stage with a par 71 to be in joint 15th position after the first round of the 72-hole tournament over the Pinta course at the Pestana Golf Resort, Lagoa on the Algarve.
Only the leading five players from a field of 60 at the end of four rounds will gain playing rights on the Senior Tour.
Hutton, pictured, birdied the long second , the fourth, 14th and 17th in halves of 32 and 39 but a double bogey 5 at the short 13th and bogeys at the 10th and long 16th dragged him down, five shots behind the American leader Chris Hunsucker.
Hamilton amateur Stewart Henderson and the experienced Stephen McAllister did not do so well. Henderson is tied 41st after a 75 (36-39) and McAllister tied 47th with a 76 (34-42). A double bogey 6 at the 18th was the crowning blow.
