World Hickory Select wins triangular match by one point

After a tense three-way battle, the Hickory International Triangular Match at Carnoustie was won by the World Hickory Select.

Many of the world’s top hickory golfers had remained in Carnoustie Country following the World Hickory Open 2015 to compete in the two-day Hickory International Triangular Match. 

Following two days of hickory golf, the World Hickory Select, which was captained by hickory golf specialist David Edwards, beat Team Europe, which consisted mainly of Swedish golfers, by one point.

 

Team USA and Canada, winners of the 2014 international hickory match, came third – but have vowed to regain their title in 2016!
