Paul Lawrie Foundation Winter Series from Tain and Royal Dornoch  to Lossiemouth

The Paul Lawrie Foundation, which began activities within the Highlands and North regions of the country earlier this year, thanks to the support of four businesses located in the area - Cairngorm Windows, Clubhouse Hotel, Hawco Group and The Nairn Golf Club - today launched a winter programme of events that will be hosted at some of Scotland's top courses.
The events are aimed at boys and girls aged 18-and-under and will tee-off at Nairn Golf Club on Sunday 15th November.  In between this and the final event at Castle Stuart Golf Links at the end of March, the Winter Series will also visit Lossiemouth's Moray (New Course), Royal Dornoch (Championship) and Tain golf clubs.
Fraser Cromarty, CEO of The Nairn Golf Club and Chairman of the Highland Golf Links partnership organisation, said: "We are delighted to be able to host the first of the Foundation's Winter Series events, which will allow kids to continue to play competitive golf between November and  March.  
The HGL partner clubs each recognise the importance of supporting junior golf. They were obvious venues at which to host Paul's Foundation's Winter Series and signed-up straight away.  With Moray and Tain golf clubs also agreeing to stage an event each, the juniors taking part will have a terrific variety of top quality golf courses against which they can test themselves and improve their skills."
Speaking about the launch from Sydney, where he's currently delivering golf days for long-term Foundation supporter, Aberdeen Asset Management, Paul was enthused about the prospect of competitive golf over the winter months for the kids: 
 "I'm grateful to the five host venues for supporting what we want to do with the series; giving the boys and girls an opportunity to continue to be competitive whilst motivating them to keep working on their games over the winter months."
"We're fortunate to have so many high quality venues relatively close together and the guys taking part will, I'm sure, enjoy both the challenge of the courses and the competition against their peers."
