Leading Aussie amateur Murdaca turns pro

Antonio Murdaca, one of  Australia's leading amateurs, has turned professional and will compete at next week’s PGA Tour of Australasia’s Fiji International.

The 20-year-old rounded off his amateur career with sixth place at the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in Hong Kong at the weekend.

It was a year on from Antonio’s win in the same tournament at Royal Melbourne that booked him a place at The Masters.

He has signed up with ISM and Chubby Chandler to handle his affairs.
