Justin Rose up there with the big-money earners in States
Record earnings on US PGA Tour:
Six players win $5 million-plus in 2015
It was a record-setting season on the American money front in more ways than
one. Yes, Jordan Spieth established an impressive total of
$12,030,465 ($1,125,300 higher than the previous best by Vijay Singh in
2004), but it was also the first time in US PGA Tour history that six
players cracked the $5 million mark.
Jason Day’s total of $9,403,330 would have led the money list in each of the five previous seasons and it’s the seventh-best output in Tour history. (Spieth holds No. 1, Singh No. 2, and Tiger Woods has the next four best seasons.)
Also cracking $5 million this year were Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, and Justin Rose.
It was just five seasons ago that Matt Kuchar led the money list without surpassing $5 million. He had $4,910,477.
