NEWS RELEASE

Newmachar Golf Club has appointed Robbie Stewart to succeed Alasdair Macgregor as Operations Director.  Robbie will join Newmachar on 2nd November and will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of all the club facilities.

Club chairman John McIntosh said “ I would firstly like to thank Alasdair for taking the business forward during his eight years' service to Newmachar Golf Club, and to wish him all the very best on his retirement.
Robbie brings with him a wealth of skills and experience in the golf industry and a passionate commitment to the development of the sport at all levels.
With his excellent inter-personal and communication skills, he is the right person to manage our existing facilities and ensure that Newmachar Golf Club continues to provide the highest levels of service to members and visitors alike“.

Robbie is well known in local golfing circles, having been PGA Professional and then taking on the role of Director of Golf at Cruden Bay Golf Club.  He then moved to the Paul Lawrie Golf Centre as general manager, and more recently has been involved in a coaching role for Clubgolf Scotland.

Robbie, who lives in Newburgh, said  “I am very much looking forward to my new role at Newmachar Golf Club and thank the committee for giving me the opportunity to work with them at what is already a very successful and popular golf club.
"I hope to meet my new colleagues and Club members in the coming weeks and to building on the excellent work carried out by Alasdair and his team''.
