Howie and Stewart inside leading 15 at European Young Masters in Switzerland

Darren Howie (Peebles) and Jamie Stewart (Old Ranfurly) are lying joint 10th and 14th respectively after the first round of the European Young Masters for Under-16  year olds at Domaine Imperial Golf Club, Switzerland.

Howie shot a one over par 73 and Stewart a 74.

France's Antoine Auboin opened up a four-shot lead with a great round of eight-under-par 64.

In the girls' Jillian Farrell (Cardross) and Jennifer Rankine (Haggs Castle)  shot 82 and 84 respectively to be joint 41st and 46th behind the leader with a 69, Pauline Roussin-Bouchard.
