Moray Five-Day Open title-holder fails to 

make match-play stages this year

The Moray Five-Day Open at Lossiemouth is one of the most successful of its golfing genre - a capacity field of 336 competitors again for this week's 110th staging of the popular event from as far afield as American, Australia, Cyprus, Spain, Ireland, England and all corners of the Home of Golf.

They endured tough conditions for the qualifying rounds on Monday and Tuesday.  .

Defending scratch champion Barry Stewart from Biggar failed to qualify for the match-play stages this time round.
