Craig Howie is top seed as match-play
starts at Carnoustie tomorrow
Sixty-four players exactly have qualified for the match-play stages of the British Amateur champion after 36 holes at Carnoustie and Panmure.
Craig Howie (Peebles), pictured, tied with New Zealander with Ryan Chisnall on seven-under-par 135 and Howie's lower second round - 67 to a 68 - earned the former Scottish U18 boys' champion No 1 seed status.
Aggregates of one-over-par 143 and better qualified for the match-play first round at Carnoustie tomorrow.
A total of eight Scots have qualified for the match-play - Howie, Ewen Ferguson, Craig Ross, Grant Forrest, Greig Marchbank, Alexander Culverwell, Jack McDonald and Robert MacIntyre.
