Edmond and Greig produce birdies galore in 

Aberdeen Links Championship quarter-finals

Clubmates Barrie Edmond and Matt Greig could be heading for an all-Bon Accord Aberdeen Links Championship final on Friday evening if this evening's birdies-galore form by both is repeated in Wednesday's  semi-finals.

Former champion Edmond, pictured, birdied the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, 11th and 13th to beat another Bon Accord player Peter Coutts 6 and 5 to reach the last four in which he will meet leading match-play qualifier Ron Evett (Northern). Evett beat clubmate Dave Leslie 3 and 2

Greig birdied the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 15th on his way to a 4 and 3 win over Dave Oliver (Caledonian). In the other semi-final, Greig will play Liam Minty (Northern) who eagled the ninth on his way to a two-hole victory over past Links champion Stewart Finnie (Caledonian).
