PETER MALNATI WINS WEB.COM TOUR
EVENT IN BRAZIL
FROM GOLFWEEK.COM

Former US college circuit competitor Peter Malnati closed with three straight birdies to win the Web.com Tour's Brasil Champions at Sao Paulo Golf Club, Brazil on Sunday. He collected $183,000.
Malnati finished at 22 under after a final-round 66, beating out a group of seven at 18 under.
"This is a big win. This is a big event. That's the best kind of stress ever," said Malnati.
"That's so much fun, but it really is stressful. I don't know the math but this is one of our biggest purses and it doesn't guarantee me of anything, it does help a lot to get me back to the PGA Tour and that's been my goal from the start."
Among those tying for second was former Oklahoma Sooner Abraham Ancer and Henrik Norlander, who played 22 events on the PGA Tour in 2013.
Malnati carded a round in the 60s in all four rounds, including a second-round 9-under 62. The win was his second on the Web.com Tour and first since 2013.
