McLEARY WINS £1,250 FOR THIRD PLACE FINISH ON ALGARVE

Jamie McLeary won £1,250 for a third place finish today  in the latest Algarve Pro Tour event, over 36 holes at Castro Marim on the eastern border with Spain.
McLeary had rounds of 67 and 68 for 135, a shot behind England's Marcus Armitage (65-69) and Portuguese amateur Joao Ramos (69-65).
As Ramos is an amateur, the first pro prize of £2,000 went to Armitage and the second pro prize of £1,250 went to McLeary
Duncan Stewart produced the best score by anyone - a six-under 66 - in the final round and that enabled him to finish joint fifth on 139 and receive a payslip for £700.
Jay Taylor, the third Scot in the field, shot 70-71 for 141 and a T12 finish which earned him £150.
