FRASER MANN WINS AGAIN WITH A 61 AT MONTROSE
Carnoustie Golf Club professional Fraser Mann made it back-to-back wins on the Midland Golfers' Alliance with a superb round of seven-under-par 61 to head the individual scores in the Graeme Paton Team Competition field by four shots over the Montrose Links' winter Medal Course.
Runner-up was home course assistant Graeme Brown with a 65.
Brian Beattie, who plays off six at Edzell, won the handicap prize with a net 64.
There was a seven-way tie on 58 for the team prize with Wellsgreen professional Donald McKay, Alex Moir (Thornton) (+1) and Norman Dyce (Strathmore) (1) winning the top prize with a better last three holes.
