ENGLAND MEN HAVE NATIONS CUP HALFWAY 

LEAD OF FIVE SHOTS AT SOTOGRANDE

England are leading at the halfway stage of the European Nations Cup men's team championship at Sotogrande.
Double European champion Ashley Chesters, Ben Stow, Nick Marsh and Paul Howard have combined on a best three from four
scores to count each round to have a 36-hole aggregate of 450.
They had a first-round total of 232 but stepped up the pace to return
a second-round total of 218.
Chesters has had rounds of 76-74 for 150; Ben Stow 79-72 for 1561, Nick Marsh 80-72 for 152, Paul Howard 77-76 for 153. In shooting terms that's a very good grouping.
That put England five shots clear of France (455) with Spain (456) third and Ireland (461) fourth.
Scottish open amateur stroke-play champion Gavin Moynihan had rounds of 75 and 79 for 154 but he was still the second best Irish scorer after Jack Hume (75-76 for 151)
