SCOTS KEEP LEOPARD TROPHY AFTER CRUSING

DAY 2 SINGLES ROUT OF SOUTH AFRICA

Scotland repeated their 2014 second-day surge to retain the Leopard Trophy in the two-day Test golf match against South Africa at Leopard Creek Golf Club, Madelane today.
Tied up at 6-6 overnight, as they were 12 months ago, the SGU squad took the Day 2 foursomes 2.5 to 1.5 and then outclassed the South Africans in the singles, winning seven and losing only one.
That gave Scotland an impressive overall victory of 15.5 to 8.5
Most successful Scots over the four sessions of play were Craig Ross (Kirkhill) with a 100 per cent four wins out of four, followed by Ewen Ferguson with three wins and a halved match for 3.5pt.
Connor Syme (Drumoig) was third in the Scots' table with three wins and one defeat for 3pt.
