SCORES CORRECTED TO TWO-OVER-PAR 74 EACH

STEWART, NICOL HEAD  SCOTS' 

CHALLENGE AT ALPS TOUR MASTERS

Michael Stewart, pictured, from Ayrshire, who played in the winning GB and I Walker Cup team at Balgownie in 2011, is still trying to light the flame that will carry him to a successful pro career.
After the scoreboard initially credited him with a par-matching 72, that was later corrected to two-over 74,  in the first round of the Alps Tour Masters at Golf de Pont-Royal, France.
The score for Fraserburgh's Kris Nicol (Paul Lawrie Golf Centre) was also officially adjusted upwards, from 73 to 74, the same as Stewart. They are joint 37th in a field of 108 behind Spanish league by four, Eduardo Larranga (Spain) with a 65.

John Henry (Clydebank and Dist) had a 76 for joint 72nd position.
Fifer James White from Lundin did not fare so well. He had an 80 for joint 101st place.
