SCOTLAND WON THE FOURSOMES, LOST THE SINGLES

SCOTS  LOSE TWO-DAY UNDER-16s

MATCH TO ENGLAND

Scotland lost 16-9 to England in a two-day Under-16 boys' international golf match at Blackwell Golf Club, Worcestershire last weekend.
The match was broken up into three sections - match-play singles on a stroke-play format; foursomes, and singles.
The only session that the Scots won was the foursomes by a 3 1/2-1 1/2 margin.
England won the singles stroke-play 8-2 and the singles match-play 6 1/2-3 1/2.
Six of the 10 singles ties went to the 18th green so it was a closer overall contest that might the overall scoreline might suggest.

Jones and Northwood lost to Black and Bruce 1 hole.
