DOWNFIELD AMATEUR TOPS SCRATCH LIST

 SCOTT ROBERTSON WINS MIDLAND 

ALLIANCE AT WINDY DRUMOIG

Downfield Golf Club one-handicapper Scott Robertson won this week's Midland Golfers' Alliance leading scratch price in very windy conditions at Drumoig golf course, near Leuchars, Fife.

Robertson shot a fine level par 73 in the testing weather. He headed the scratch returns by one stroke from Dunkeld scratch player S McKendrick.

Robertson actually had the best net score as well - a 72 off one - but the rules debar the same player winning prizes in both lists.

So Stuart Birrell, who plays off two of a handicap at Lundin Golf Club, Fife, won the handicap prize with a net 73.
