NORTH-EAST ALLIANCE REPORT AND LEADING SCORES

 CADDIE SHANKS MAKES IT  

BACK-TO-BACK WINS AT KINTORE
 

Keith Shanks, who has caddied on occasion for Challenge Tour player David Law, followed up his third-best-amateur finish in the previous week's Scottish Alliance Championship at Dalmahoy by winning this week's North-east Alliance top scratch prize at Kintore Golf Club.
Shanks, who hails from Elie, Fife but is now playing out of Kings Links Golf Centre, shot a one-under-par 69 to head the scratch scores by three shots from Kevin Duncan (Cruden Bay) and Neil Macandrew (Royal Aberdeen).
The week before the Scottish Alliance championship, Shanks had tied for first place with David Law's brother Chris in the NE Alliance fixture at Newburgh-on-Ythan.
