EUROPEAN TOUR COMMUNICATIONS
Marc Warren converted his fine recent form into a first European Tour title for seven years, courtesy of a two-stroke victory in Made in Denmark at Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort.
The Scot, who finished tied 15th in last week’s US PGA Championship, carded a confident three under par closing round of 68 for a winning total of nine under par 275, while the player he shared the overnight leader with, Welshman Bradley Dredge, finished runner up on seven under par following a round of 70.
Englishman Philip Archer (69) was third on four under par while Thomas Björn (69) finished as the leading Dane on three under par, sharing fourth position with English pair Eddie Pepperell (69) and Oliver Fisher (69), boosting his hopes of sealing an automatic Ryder Cup spot.

Warren's financial reward amounted to 250,000 euros.
Key player quotes

Marc Warren (-9): ” It feels incredible. I felt the last couple of years I’ve been close to winning a couple of times but for whatever reason it hasn’t  quite happened for me, whether I’ve made mistakes or someone else has played really well.

"This summer I fell more confident that I’ve ever done. Today I kept telling myself I was swinging the club really well and I was confident in what I was doing. I was happy to see the win come up as it would be difficult for someone to come out the pack.”
Bradley Dredge (-7): “In a way there are mixed feelings in that if someone said they’d give me second at the beginning of the week it is a great result, considering I’ve not had a chance to win in a long time.

"But it was a chance to win a tournament. Marc did play really well and I didn’t play well enough, but it would have been nice to have pushed him a little harder coming down the last few.”
Thomas Björn (-3): “I was quite determined when I got out there today and got the good start I wanted. I just ran dry on the greens. It wasn’t to be. I thought if I could rattle off a few birdies I could apply some pressure.

"The greens were where I struggled this week. I drove the ball fantastic and there are a lot of good things to build on. I always say if you finish top ten in a golf tournament you have played pretty well. I did that this week, but it wasn’t to be.”
