Matthew
McCulloch (Dumfries and Galloway) and Shannon McWilliam (South
Aberdeenshire) are the new Paul Lawrie Foundation Scottish schools golf
champions.
McCulloch's victory means that a Dumfries and Galloway player has won the schoolboys title for the past three years. Professional's son Connor Syme was the PLF boys' champion in 2012 and 2013.

Playing over the two Murrayshall House Hotel courses, five miles north of Perth, McCulloch had rounds of 73 and 67 for a total of 140.
He finished one shot ahead of Jamie Stewart (Renfrewshire) (70-71). Unrelated to today's performance, Stewart will be Scotland's boy representative in next month's R and A Junior Open at West Lancashire Golf Club.
Andrew Thompson (South Lanarkshire) was third on 142 with scores of 70-72.
Joint fourth on 143 were Colin Edgar (Renfrewshire) (71-72) and Callum Bruce (North Aberdeenshire) (71-72).
Renfrewshire (287) won the boys' team title ahead of Glasgow (292) and Dumfries and Galloway (294).
There were prizes for the boys' best first and second rounds.
Conor Toal (Renfrewshire) had the best morning round of 68 and Matthew McCulloch the best afternoon round of 67.

Aboyne's
Shannon McWilliam (72-72) and Emily Dalgetty (Midlothian) (74-70) tied
on 144 at the end of the regulation 36 holes.
Shannon, who was Scottish Under-14 girls' champion last year and a few weeks ago became the youngest-ever
Aberdeenshire women's county champion, won the schoolgirls title after a
play-off.
The girls' team title was won by Forth Valley's Eilidh Watson and Jennifer Allan with a total of 208.
Aberdeen City (313) were second, and East Lothian (314) third after a card countback with Angus who also totalled 314.
Eilidh Watson also won the girls' handicap prize.
The par for the boys' event was 73 (SSS 71) for the main course and par 68 (SSS 67) for the shorter Lynedoch course).
For the girls, the Murrayshall pas was 71 (SSS 71) and, for Lynedoch, 69 par and also SSS.
