JAMEGA TOUR EVENT PROVIDES BREAKTHROUGH VICTORY

SCOT TED INNES-KERR SCORES FIRST WIN AS A PRO - BUT WHAT IS THE "SCOTLAND" LINK?

FROM THE JAMEGA TOUR WEBSITE

True blue Scot Ted Innes-Ker, son of one of the richest men in the country, the Duke of Roxburghe who owns The Roxburghe Country Club in the Borders,  scored a fine one-under-par 69 to win a recent one-day Jamega Tour tournament at Sonning Golf Club by a single shot from an amateur, Tom Potter.
Innes-Ker blitzed the front nine holes to get to 4 under par but on the back nine he gave all of those shots back to the course but managed to pull himself together to make a fine birdie on the last.

A very long wait then had to be endured by the leader as more scores came in but Ted was still ahead with just the last group to come. The tension was getting unbearable for the apprehensive Innes-Ker but in the end he was the winner of a cheque for £700 plus a win bonus from his sponsors, ISPS.
It’s been a long hard road for Ted Innes-Ker to finally win his first professional tournament and this guy has shown tremendous guts and determination to soldier on and finally mount the winner’s podium.
He never really played amateur tournament golf. He just knocked it around with his pals at school and college and really enjoyed playing the game.
Ted decided to turn professional and slowly got better and better and now can really hold his own in the company of any professional player.
We feel sure that Ted Innes-Ker will drive on from this win and go on to bigger and better things in the future.
Sonning should change its name to “Stunning” because that’s what it is, absolutely stunning and a delight to play with immaculate tree lined fairways and true Augusta-like greens, it is perfection.
Sonning Golf Club is another hidden gem in Berkshire and joins Calcot Park and Reading Golf club in a cluster of golfing pearls which have to be played.

+IF TED INNES-KER READS THIS, COULD HE PLEASE E-MAIL Colin@scottishgolfview.com
WITH DETAILS OF WHERE HE WAS BORN IN
SCOTLAND OR WHAT HIS CONNECTION IS TO SCOTLAND.
