NORTH-EAST PLAYER HAS THREE SCORES IN THE 60s

CORMACK JUST MAKES THE TOP 40

IN PGA TOUR CANADA EVENT

North-east born Paul Cormack finished T38 with a total of 277 (67-68-73-69) in the PGA Tour Canada event at the weekend, the Bayview Place Island Savings Open at Uplands Golf CLub, Victoria in British Colombia, Canada.
On the same total was rookie English pro Greg Eason who was a successful US college tour player over the past two or three years and was high up on the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
He had scores of 67, 68, 73 and 69.
Former Scottish U18 boys champion Paul Ferrier (Baberton) missed the cut with rounds of 74 and 71 for 145.
Josh Persons (USA) won with a 12-under-par total of 268 (66-65-67-70).
He won by a single shot from joint runners-up Brock Mackenzie (63-66-71-69) and Timothy Madigan, also American, with 67-64-69-69.
Sweden's Robert Karlsson finished T8 on 271 (69-68-66-68)
