FOWLIE AND HEATH IN THE MIX AT

EUROPEAN MID-AM CHAMPIONSHIP

Royal Aberdeen Golf Club country member Andy Fowlie and Englishman Richard Heath, secretary of the European Golf Association, are the only Britons in the top 10 of the European mid-amateur golf championship with one round to go at Pravets Golf Club, Bulgaria.

Swiss-based Heath has shot 69-68 for seven-under 137 and is in second place, one shot behind the leader, Germany's Alexander Koller (66-70).

Fowlie, who lives and works in Finland, is in joint fourth place on 142 after a second-round 73 which saw him bogey the 14th and 18th after birdies at the seventh, ninth and 13th had him well place to break par again.
