WESTHILL TEENAGER HAS MADE HIS MARK IN TWO COUNTRIES
BILLY SIM'S SON DANIEL COMPLETES A
SPANISH-SCOTTISH JUNIOR DOUBLE
Daniel
Sim, pictured above, 18-year-old elder son of former Hacienda Del Alamo Golf Director Billy Sim, now
Golf Manager at Craibstone G C, Aberdeen, has won the junior championship
at Royal Aberdeen.
Daniel has been a member at Royal Aberdeen for the past three
years, since the Sim family moved from Murcia, Spain to Westhill.
Aberdeen-born Daniel was brought up in golf in the Murcia region with lush Bermuda grass fairways and soft, holding greens, so being able to achieve a victory on
a course like the Balgownie links is a great achievement in his last year as
a junior.
His handicap is now four, having gone up a stroke
since he joined Royal Aberdeen GC.

Daniel works hard at his game and his employment at the Westhill Holiday Inn as a gym assistant helps him keep
in shape.
He loves playing Royal Aberdeen and all the history that
surrounds the course and is full of praise for Alan Joss, the junior
convener who has helped him at the club.
Daniel's parents
Billy and Regina are very proud of his capture of the prestigious junior championship
at Royal Aberdeen to go with winning the Hacineda Del Alamo junior championship
as well a few years back.
A
keen supporter of Aberdeen Football Club and also Real Madrid, Daniel, who speaks fluent Spanish,
will also be working at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this
year.
