JAMEGA TOUR'S TWO-ROUND EVENT AT LA MONACILLA

ELLIOT SALTMAN, MICHAEL STEWART

LEAD SCOTS CHALLENGE IN SPAIN

Elliot Saltman and Michael Stewart spearheaded the Scottish challenge on the first day of the Jamega Tour's 36-hole event at La Monacilla Golf Club on the Spanish side of the border with Portugal's Algarve coastline.
Both shot two-under-par 70s to be one stroke behind halfway leader, England's Lloyd Kennedy.
Callum Macaulay had a 71 to be joint fifth in a field of 54 players.
Lloyd Saltman who played well in the Jamega Tour's most recent event went off the poilt with a 79 to be joint 37th alongside Duddingston's James Dick.
E-mail from Ellon's Ross Cameron:
I had to withdraw today from the latest Jamega Tour event due to sickness, again.
I am missing the final Jamega Tour event in the Portugal/Spanish swing which was my original plan.
I fly home on Friday and head into Europro Qualifying School Stage 1 on March 26th and 27th.
Hoping to be feeling better by then and give you something better to report on!
Thanks for the coverage
